Throughout the year the East Bay SPCA offers a few special events where children can join us to learn about animals through one of our interactive programs. Please read below to find out more about these special programs:

  


Sleepovers!

Want to sleep at the shelter? (When you’re young it sounds like a lot of fun!)  A few times a year the education staff offers a sleepover program at our Dublin adoption center where children are invited to spend the evening visiting with animals, making crafts, and playing games before curling up in their sleeping bags to watch a movie.

Who:
Children grades 2-6 who want to have some fun and slumber at the shelter!
What:
An evening of animal activities and fun festivities! Pizza will be served for dinner and a light breakfast in the morning.
When:
Friday night, October 8!

Furry Fall Friend-zy

Bring your friends to the East Bay SPCA for a day of fun or come to adopt a new furry friend! Small Animal Adoptions (chinchillas, turtles, birds, rabbits, and more! Plus: FREE Children’s Activities, too! Local rescue organizations involved include: Bunnies Without Borders, North Star Rescue and Rattie Ratz.

Who:
Anyone who would like to adopt a small animal to love.
What:
A day of showcasing our small animal friends with adoptions and children's activites.
When:
Saturday, September 25, 2010, 11am to 4pm

Trick or Treat

Each October we invite kids to Trick or Treat at each of our adoption centers. Kids can participate in an educational scavenger hunt, play games, make crafts and meet a few of our shelter guests. Costumes are encouraged! More information to come as the event draws closer.
