Oakland Open House - Fun, Free Family Day! (January 25, 2014 11 am - 3 pm)
The construction of our new Oakland Education and Training Center allows us to bring our popular Humane Education programs to Oakland! To celebrate, we will host an fun and free open house on January 25, 2014 from 11 am to 3 pm. Bring your kids down for a taste of the activities we are offering including animal meet and greets, crafts, activity stations and more! Download flyer here.

Valentine’s Drive to Thrive!
Instead of a traditional Valentines party in your child’s classroom, let us throw a party for you! Students may purchase $5 valentines for the animals in our care. Each class that makes a minimum $100 donation can sign up to receive a visit from our education team. We will come with all the supplies to make valentines, a goodie for the kids, and of course we'll bring a few furry friends! Learn More.

Be kind to Animals Week
Be kind to animals week is a national celebration dedicated to helping animals and to publicizing the achievements of the nation's animal welfare organizations.

Trick or Treat
Come meet our animals that do tricks for treats! Bring your kids in costume to trick or treat at our Dublin Adoption Center. We'll have games, crafts, candy and of course animals! This year's Trick-or-Treat will take place Saturday, October 26 from 2-4 pm and will be hosted by the Alameda County 4-H Youth Development Program. The 4-H Club will host interactive and educational booths for you children's "foster pet". A stuffed cat or dog will be presented to your child upon arrival to the Trick-or-Treat event. At that point, your child can go to different booths and learn about animal care, compassion, and responsibility while trick-or-treating! At the end of your child's journey with his/her foster animal, you can adopt that animal for $5!
