The East Bay SPCA values the work and contributions made from Scouts each year. If your Scout group has a passion for helping animals that you wish to help them foster, please see our programs below to determine which program or project would be the best fit for your group.
Scouts visiting the shelter
Whether your group is working on a journey project, trying to earn a badge or just wants to visit the shelter for fun, our tour program is a perfect option for scouts of all ages. Many groups will use funds from cookie sales or another fundraising project to cover the suggested donation of the tour. We do our best to accommodate all requests; while you may book as little as two weeks in advance we recommend submitting a request at least two months before your desired tour date.
Making a donation
We love donations! The East Bay SPCA is a 501c3 and is funded solely by donations; whether your troop wants to do a food drive for our pet food pantry or has chosen to donate the proceeds from their cookie sales, we would greatly appreciate what your group has to give! We are happy to schedule a time to receive the donation. When you schedule a donation drop off, we will be sure to have someone available to personally thank your group, let them know the value of their contribution to the organization and facilitate a brief animal meet and greet. Please plan for the drop off to take no more than 30 minutes. Many groups choose to drop off their donation in conjunction with a tour, which you are welcome to do as well. If you would like to schedule time for your group to make a donation, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Of course you are always welcome to walk in and make a donation when our adoption centers are open, however without an appointment we will not be able to facilitate animal meet and greets or take as much time as we would like to express our gratitude!
